David Maian
David Maian, Yoga Alliance Certified 2006, E-YRT; Toronto Yoga Center Classical Yoga Certified 1987, teaches Viniyoga method. David was formerly a member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists. He is past vice president of the Federation of Ontario Yoga Teachers. David, who has taught in Port Perry and Durham region for over 20 years, is a strong exponent of Classic Astanga Yoga, the yoga of personal transformation.
200 hour Yoga Alliance certified Teacher Training is offered. David guides all age groups on a path toward physical, emotional, and spiritual well being in his classes and workshops. Areas of particular include Mindfulness Training, Ayurveda, and Tibetan – Buddhist traditions of physical and mental discipline.
Simone Maian – Usui Reiki Master / Teacher
Simone Maian is an energy healer and certified Usui Reiki Master/Teacher. Since 1989, she has provided Reiki energy healing treatments, training and certification. Simone combines Reiki with advanced level Chang Sen Xue, a Chinese healing modality incorporating principles of compassion and intention.
At an earlier time in her career, Simone travelled to India and developed an interest in alternative energy healing approaches. After a serious car accident, Simone was led on her own personal healing journey. In that journey she found her true calling in the practices of Reiki and Chang Sen Xue. A short time later, Simone and her husband David, a certified yoga teacher, opened Maya Healing Arts in Port Perry. Together they form a healing partnership to help and inspire others through Reiki and Yoga practices.
Simone’s healing treatments focus on alleviating pain and creating energetic health. Her energy work is unique, as it combines:
– Reiki – Meditation
– Chang Sen Xue – Personal coaching
These gentle, holistic therapies address the mind, body, and spirit, enhancing the body’s inner resources to empower healing.
Simone is committed to increasing people’s awareness about this profoundly beautiful healing system. Her teachings emphasize self-care, self – awareness and self-empowerment. She currently conducts Reiki Energy Healing Workshops, Reiki Circles and Reiki Certification.
Reiki Certification programs are offered at four levels, from First Degree Reiki to Reiki Master/Teacher.
These programs are based in Port Perry and are available in other areas of Durham Region and the GTA.
